Remove PDF metadata

Metadata are invisible information in a PDF file, such as author, creation date, modification date, software version, or keywords. They often contain details about the file that are not directly visible in the content.

1. Use the file selection box at the top of the page to select the PDFs you want to remove metadata from.
2. Start the removal process by clicking on the appropriate button.
3. Use the Download button to save the new PDFs without metadata to your computer.

The PDF metadata often contains information that you sometimes do not want to disclose. Before you send a PDF, you should use a PDF reader to check whether the current metadata can remain in the PDF. If not, then simply use the PDF24 tool on this page to remove the metadata.
